Community

From its first day in 1983, The Hills Christian Community School has celebrated the word Community within its title. Families who are new to HCCS will inevitability comment on the strong sense of community and the precious relationships within the School. This sense is enhanced at Verdun with class get togethers, whole school devotions and assemblies, major events like Mothers’ Day Breakfast, Fathers’ Day Breakfast and Grandparents’ Morning, Quiz Nights and Fairs, Class Representatives who ‘keep an eye’ on families who may need a little extra support and the P & F Collective whose mission it is to assist the HCCS community flourish.

A newly established ‘Nuts and Bolts’ Parent Group will endeavour to ‘grow’ the sense of community so highly valued within the Primary campus at the Secondary School. Grandparents’ morning is celebrated at Oakbank in conjunction with Remembrance Day.

From ELC to Year 12 our staff is committed to providing all the relevant information to families which will make their transition into School and their children’s time at School, successful and informative. We are committed to our weekly newsletter, ‘open door’ access to staff, regular communication and accessible school policies.
