EMPLOYMENT

The Hills Christian Community School (HILLS) is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian School, for Reception to Year 12 students. Our ELC – Year 12 Campus is situated on picturesque grounds at Verdun, which is only minutes away from the South-Eastern Freeway and 5 minutes from Hahndorf.

The engaging learning environment on both campuses promotes curiosity, discovery and independence with respectful relationships being developed between the staff and students.

There are no current positions available at HILLS, but please fill in the relief application form if you are interested in a TRT role.

ELC Diploma Qualified Educator

Diploma Qualified ELC Educator including Before and/or After School Care & Vacation Care , Replacement Contract commencing Term 2 2024 (Week commencing 29th April)

4 Shifts per week, approx 27.5 hours (ideally days as follows):

  • 7:00am – 2:00pm Tuesday & Friday
  • 11:00am – 6:00pm Wednesday & Thursday

The ELC is closed for two weeks over the Christmas Break and another two weeks of holiday can be taken at the individual’s discretion, in consultation with the ELC Director (to ensure that a suitable replacement is available).

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

The ELC Diploma Qualified Educator must have:

  • a minimum qualification of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • current Working with Children Check
  • current Reporting Abuse and Neglect training
  • current HLTAID012 “Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting” First Aid training.
  • current Drivers Licence

  2. Cover Letter outlining the applicant’s interests in undertaking the advertised position (maximum one A4 page).
  3. Curriculum Vitae including a summary of qualifications and positions held with key achievements.
  4. Key Selection Criteria Summary as outlined in the Role Description (maximum two A4 pages).
