Students and staff from the Early Learning Centre through to Year 7 celebrate the wonderful week of fun and learning of Book Week with the big finale dress-up parade being held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 9am. This is a joyous occasion with many parents joining in the celebration.

This very successful and fun event has become a biennial event. The next Hills Spring Fair will be held on Saturday, November 3rd,  2018 at the Verdun Campus.

The Graduation Service for Year 7 students is held at the Christmas Worship Service. The Principal and the Year 7 teachers present each child with a Bible. A Graduation Dinner is held at the School late in Term 4 where the children have an opportunity to celebrate with their friends.

The Graduation for Year 12 students will be celebrated with a Formal to be held late in November and a Graduation Service/Awards Night.

Our Swimming Carnival is held at the Woodside Pool each year during Term 4 for Reception to Year 7 students.

The Hills Christian Community School holds two whole school Worship Services each year. The first is held at Easter time where the children present the Easter message to family and friends. The second is at the end of the year where we celebrate the message of Jesus’ birth and the conclusion of another year.

HCCS celebrates Easter with students acting out the Easter Story every day during the week leading up to Easter. We begin with Palm Sunday, which is always the highlight of the week! The students and staff from ELC to Year 7 dress up in costume and meet together on the Rivermont Property where ‘Nuala’, the donkey, joins us for this wonderful re-enactment. The rest of the week features the other significant events of the Easter Story, and concludes with a whole school dance event on the oval representing the Resurrection!

Our ELC to Year 7 Sports Day will be held at the HCCS Secondary / Oakbank Area School Oval (at the back of the School) towards the end of Term One. A sausage sizzle lunch can be purchased and it is an opportunity for families to come and watch their children and to get to know each other. This is another fun community event.

Our Year 8 to Year 12 Sports Day is combined with the Oakbank Area School Sports Day during Term 1.

Around 400 visitors join with their grandchildren and young friends in ELC to Year 7, at the Verdun Campus, in Term 3, and enjoy time in classrooms, a concert and a scrumptious morning tea. This year this wonderful event will be held on Friday, September 21st 2018.

Grandparent’s Morning at Secondary, for Year 8 students is celebrated on November 11th each year and involves a Remembrance Day ceremony, classroom visitation and a delicious morning tea.

After a feed of bacon and eggs, dads and special friends from ELC to Year 7,  visit classrooms on the Friday morning prior to Fathers’ Day. We look forward to Friday, August 31st 2018.

Mums from ELC to Year 7, are recognised at a special breakfast and having time with their children in classrooms on the Friday morning prior to Mothers’ Day.
