The facilities of the Hills Christian Community School at Verdun have been developed since 1983 to meet the learning and recreational needs of the growing student population. Retaining the Old School building built in the 1913 and purchasing the new 9 acre property with Onkaparinga River frontage and a 100 year old apple orchard in 2014 bonds HCCS with Verdun history. Modern learning spaces like the Hall, Year 5 and 6 classrooms, the new Year 7 Centre, Early Learning Centre and refurbished buildings, such as the Library/Computer Suite, encourage strong teaching and personalised learning.
HCCS Secondary is located within Oakbank Area School. Since 2013 we have rented classrooms and access to all shared facilities we require including Woodwork/Metalwork, Home Economics, the Gymnasium, Science Laboratories, the oval, 32 acres of agriculture and grounds.
HCCS Secondary is fortunate to access excellent learning spaces to support our broad educational programme and be surrounded by an ambient rural setting within a working farm.
